At Kew Design Build Ltd we have flipped the dynamic of construction in that we, the architects, employ the sub-contractors and project manage the whole process. We are a design-led firm that breaks away from the standard design-build format and argue that design solutions make for a more elegant and beautiful product. Our priorities start with a design process that works its way through practicality and cost-effectiveness. We believe that this approach results in the best value for money that can be achieved.

Do you do a design and install service?

Yes, from wardrobes all the way to a full house.

How soon can you get on sight/start on sight?

As we design everything before we start building this allows for a much faster and more flexible process than the traditional way, allowing for lower expenses and easier changes. The speed however is dependent on the project and design and needs to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Do you use the same team over and over on all your projects?

Yes, we do. We have a core team of subcontractors who work on every one of our projects and a few other members who join in if needed.

How involved are the clients?

Clients are involved in the construction phase just as much as they are during the design phase. This is part of our adaptability and flexibility which allows clients to change aspects of the design in a ‘change as you go’ way.

How many points of contact does the client need to have?

We are happy to work with any nominated sub-contractor, however we generally would recommend subcontractors and take on all the work ourselves.
